The trip was great! Overview

Amarnath is one of the most important pilgrim destination for Hindus. Amarnath cave is situated in Jammu and Kashmir State, and the shrine is devoted to Lord Shiva. The cave temple site is situated at a height of approximately 12756 feet from the sea level. Every year the place is visited by thousands of devotees. The holy yatra to the Shri Amarnath Ji is organized by government every year during the months of June and July when the area is accessible. Amarnath is located 141 kilometers away from Srinagar. The holy can be done through helicopter from Baltal to Panjtarni. This itinerary of ‘Amarnath Yatra by helicopter from Baltal’ offers you a chance to stay in houseboat and Shikara ride on Dal Lake as well as you will also visit Mughal gardens of Srinagar. Itinerary

Day 1: Srinagar - Baltal

On Arrival at Srinagar Airport, the spectacular capital city of Jammu Kashmir, you will meet our representative who will assist to transfer to Baltal, which is about 115 kilometers away from Srinagar. On the way just admire the scenic roadways with lush green landscapes along with snowcapped peaks of Himalayas. On arrival at Baltal, check in to the cottage for overnight stay.

Day 2: Baltal - Panjtarni - Amarnath Cave - Srinagar(sightseeing)

In the morning, you are escorted to the helipad at Baltal, which is located at the 10 minutes’ drive from your accommodation. Reach at Panjtarni helipad, the most exciting part of the Yatra begins. During the last 6 kilometers of the journey to the Amarnath cave, pilgrims are carried in Palkis or on horsebacks to the holy cave. After Darshan of Sri Amarnath ji in form of a naturally created ice Lingam, Return on the same way then you will get the assisted transfer to Srinagar On arrival in Srinagar, Check in the Hotel or Houseboat, after freshen up , enjoy sightseeing, including the Mughal gardens. Dinner and overnight stay in a Hotel or Houseboat.

Day 3: Srinagar - Departure

After breakfast in the morning and get transferred to the Srinagar airport to board a flight for an onward journey.
